Jay has over 20 years of experience in real estate investment banking and private equity where he has completed $4 billion in principal transactions and over $40 billion in M&A and capital advisory transactions. 

 

Prior to founding Almanack Pond Capital, Jay served as Head of Equity Capital Markets for RFR Holding, a global investment platform headquartered in New York, NY, and as Head of Capital Markets for Alliance Partners HP, a diversified real estate investment and operating platform located in Bryn Mawr, PA.  Jay began his real estate career in the real estate investment banking and private equity investment group at Morgan Stanley and later held roles as Vice President, Capital Markets at Jones Lang LaSalle and as Director, Investment Banking at Gleacher & Company.

Prior to his real estate career, Jay was a management consultant where he advised clients in the technology, telecommunications and financial services sectors.  He also held a business development role with a startup company in the software industry which later IPO'd on the NASDAQ.

Jay holds a BS, with Distinction, in Systems Engineering from The University of Virginia and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
